HOW TO MEASURE

Use a string or soft measuring tape to take your measurement. You'll be measuring where the hat would naturally sit on your head.

While looking in a mirror, place the string or tape at the center of your forehead, about an inch above your eyebrows. Wrap it gently around your head, keeping it about a finger’s width above your ears, and pass it over the most prominent part at the back of your head. Bring the tape or string back to the starting point on your forehead.

Mark where the ends meet. If you're using a string, lay it flat and measure the length in centimeters for better precision. We suggest taking the measurement three times to ensure accuracy.

Should your measurement fall between sizes, we recommend the larger of the two, as toquilla straw may tighten slightly over time. Select styles include an adjustable inner band for a tailored fit, and our team is always delighted to help you find yours.

Every TESH® hat is woven by hand from natural toquilla straw by skilled artisans in Ecuador. Because each is shaped by hand rather than by machine, slight variations in size, weave, texture and tone are to be expected.
These subtle differences are not imperfections, but the signature of true craftsmanship — and part of what makes every hat entirely one of a kind.
Caring for Your TESH® Hat
Toquilla straw is a natural fiber. With a little care, your hat will be treasured for many seasons to come.
Please Do
- Handle your hat by the brim, never by the crown.
- Store it in a cool, dry place, ideally in its hat box and away from direct sunlight.
- Rest it upside down on its crown, or on a hat stand, so the brim keeps its shape.
- Brush away dust with a soft brush, or lift light marks with a slightly damp cloth.
- Should your hat be caught in a light rain, blot it gently with a soft cloth and allow it to dry naturally at room temperature.
Please Avoid
- Pinching or squeezing the crown, which can crack the straw over time.
- Letting your hat become soaked, as too much water can cause the straw to lose its shape.
- Harsh cleaners, chemicals or perfume.
- Crushing or packing it tightly when traveling.
